From the beginning helping us to identify the right plants and finalizing the sale and delivery the Hicks team was knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. When William came to do the survey he made some thoughtful suggestions about this planting and made several recommendations for future projects. The crew that planted our bushes was on time, courteous, efficient, neat and tidy. The plants were spaced perfectly and the area well graded and nicely mulched. I could not have been happier with their work. They were also nice too my dogs who naturally had to lend their vocal support.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Our backyard had become an eyesore - Tom Cahill's design made it better than it has ever been. The crew, led by Alex worked very hard and were friendly and polite. I now find myself taking a look at the front yard, to plan a new project. Highly recommend!
William and his team did an absolutely fantastic job helping me with a redo of my entire property - from picking out the right plants and choosing appropriate locations, to the actual planting. Even after digging the holes, I asked them to adjust several plant locations, including the arborvitae, and they happily accommodated me. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, and they gave me so much advice about watering and pruning to keep these plants healthy.I am so completely happy with the whole job from start to finish and will definitely use Hicks again for my next project.

We did a partial landscape renovation with Hicks Nursery almost 2 years ago. Tom created a wonderful design for us, and we continued to work with him when we had issues. We felt that we were in the best of hands for the installation, a winter pruning and working with us to replace plant material as needed during this time. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and a delight to work with! I am so glad that we had the opportunity to work with the team at Hicks to enhance the beauty of our garden!
Peter was very helpful and patient while working with me to improve the landscaping in front of my home. He was very hands-on and was there during the installation process as well. I’m happy with the result, and also glad knowing they will back up their work if I should have problems with any of the plants moving forward.
From the conception of landscape design plans to job completion, Ken Muellers and his team did a superb job. Ken worked within our budget. Landscaping was done for our front and backyard property. I was specific about a pollinating garden in the backyard to encourage butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Ken listened and made wonderful suggestions. Curb appeal is great and our property looks good. Lois in the office was also a great help with communication. We are delighted with Hicks and would recommend them if you are considering any landscape work.
I used Hicks Landscaping to redo my entire backyard with a pool. They were tremendously knowledgeable about town regulations (esp because I had electric wires running thru the middle of my yard). They designed my entire backyard ……worked with the pool company, plumbers, electricians and masons to get everything done as planned in a timely manner. They always kept me up to date and did an awesome job landscaping around my pool. Peter Hogarty was my primary contact and I would highly recommend him for any backyard projects.
What an amazing job the Hick’s crew has done on our landscaping.i couldn’t be happier with the results . 😊 They have planted 13 arborvitae trees for us to separate our property from our neighbor’s. All the trees they had selected themselves and each one is very healthy. I can’t wait to have them over for the next project!
What a wonderful experience! Starting with our very knowledgeable designer, Peter Hogarty, who listened to what we were looking for and came up with a beautiful design for our home. Being followed by a fabulous crew headed by Julio Pineda. The crew worked diligently. never dreamt they would be so neat, clean, organized, and respectful. They went above and beyond! This was an absolute fabulous experience. We were Hicks fans before, but we are lifers now!
Craig and the Hicks Landscapes design team did an amazing job! Craig the designer and project manager, did a complete renovation of my backyard. He had creative and beautiful ideas on how to address any issues and make the most of the space. The crew, headed by foreman Julio, worked incredibly hard in 90-degree weather, paying attention to every detail. Craig executed the renovation flawlessly, with the landscape, masonry and irrigation/electrical crews all working together seamlessly and completing the projection on schedule. I can't rave enough about the whole experience, and the gorgeous yard I now have!
We hired Hicks landscapes to remove our present patio and install a new patio. Jose and his men did an exceptional job. The Hicks Landscape Design crew did a steller job. My wife and I have a very small patio space, but Peter treated us and our small space with a white glove service. They were on time, very professional, and did the job quickly and really well. They gave us great advice and answered all our questions, as we are new to planting and are pretty clueless. i had several trees planted. they let me choose my tree from the inventory . Once it was ordered, i was called a few days later to set up a time and day to plant. the workers were on time and did a beautiful job installing and planting the trees and put mulch around the bottom

Hicks wants to get it right. They will slow you down when necessary, based on careful listening, and on their experience. I really appreciate this. It's a good business that is sincere in their desire to avoid issues and have a good experience all around. They also know that it is not easy, and is a two-way street in the sense of requiring one's active participation -- they cannot quite mind-read etc, much as one would like that to be the case. But they do their best in that department too. Plan ahead, timing-wise, because they get very busy. Visit in person at least once. Thank you.
I was very pleased with the quality of the plantings, installation and the timing from Hicks Nursery.The installation crew knew just what to do and performed it exactly as I desired. Supervisor Peter explained everything to my satisfaction. I will use them again!

We planted the Appalachian Redbud tree in March. The guys who did the work were pros and did a great job. The tree is now starting to bloom in late April and looks great. Peter gave me some advice on watering throughout the year.
We buy our trees from Hicks and love the quality, service and value we receive. Hicks is a great garden center with lots of knowledgeable and helpful people. And we love the special events they host throughout the year.

So we heard so much about Hicks Nursery for years and when we moved to the neighborhood we tried them to landscape our new house. It was we blank canvas as we had removed what was previously there. Ken was our designer and he was wonderful! He worked with our busy schedule and was flexible. He designed the space and came to the house to present it to us. He gave us several options of how to implement it as we wanted to do it in stages and he really listened to exactly what we wanted. He presented the design to us and accompanied the design with a packet of photos of what each plant looked like in bloom so that we could envision the final product. This was very important to us because we found it hard to envision how it would look. He explained the reasoning behind the choice of each plant. He designed the space so it would have some color for most of the year honoring our request for as much color as possible. They completed everything we wanted in one day. He followed up to make sure we were pleased and had been satisfied. We look forward to implementing the next stage in the Spring. We are thrilled with the results so far. It will need to grow in of course (that was part of the design) and we will see the full product over the seasons as well. We are charmed by our new garden and can’t wait to see the changes as it grows!Part two - Spring 2024 - We divided our landscaping into two parts doing the front of the house first and then the back of the house the following Spring. Wow I couldn’t be happier. We told Ken, our landscape designer, that we wanted continuous color in our garden especially in the back where we intended to spend time outdoors enjoying it. He designed it that way, again showing us photos of what the plants would look like when they matured. It was truly delightful to watch the very green plants they planted grow so quickly and blossom with gorgeous flowers. I am stunned at how long the flower carpet pink roses bloom and rebloom covering the area with beautiful flowers. I now have a routine that I go outside each day to enjoy my beautiful garden and see the amazing changes that take place. Our limelight hydrangeas now make a beautiful centerpiece for our backyard. I look forward to watching my garden grow more and more lush as the days, weeks and months pass. Thank you Hicks (especially Ken) for my lovely garden!

We needed some tall dead bushes removed from a 15 foot wide strip in the backyard. The staff at Hicks assisted us with picking out shrubs that were suitable for our needs. A manager came to our house and inspected the site and made further helpful suggestions. The crew that did the actual removal and planting arrived on time and was experienced and careful. They asked for my approval at several critical times before proceeding. they did a truly professional job an cleaned upwhen finished. I couldn't be happier with the results and the way that the Hicks employees did their job.
It was real pleasure to do business with Hicks Nurseries in Westbury!! All of the personnel were helpful as I selected & purchased trees to provide a privacy barrier on my property. William Winiecki, the General Manager was invaluable. He visited my home and was able to advise me regarding the placement and watering of the trees, and, also what additional watering tools I needed. The landscapers worked in sweltering heat to complete the planting of the trees - which look lovely. Kudos to Hicks!!
